The Director of Operations will lead and optimize a agile, multi-modal freight operation spanning over-the-road, ocean, air, and rail. This role is ideal for a senior operations leader who thrives in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment and brings both strategic perspective and hands-on leadership capability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide day-to-day operational leadership across all modes of transportation, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery and operational efficiency
- Build and implement scalable processes, systems, and KPIs to support continued growth and operational excellence
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering accountability, urgency, and a strong service culture
- Drive margin improvement through disciplined cost control, pricing alignment, and carrier/vendor negotiations
- Strengthen and expand relationships with key carriers, partners, and vendors across all modes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and leadership to support customer growth, onboarding, and retention initiatives
- Identify and mitigate operational risks while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across processes, technology utilization, and team performance

The Ideal Candidate:

- 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation and logistics operations, with deep exposure to over-the-road, ocean, air, and rail freight




- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role managing teams and complex, multi-modal operations.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to balance service excellence with margin discipline.
- Demonstrated success building structure and scalability within a growing organization.
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to dive into operational details while maintaining a strategic lens.
- Excellent communication, team leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
