Lead a dedicated volunteer team at Calgary Humane Society as a Volunteer Management Coordinator. Drive recruitment, training, and engagement of our 650 volunteers in a fulfilling role.
You will report to the Manager of Volunteer Resources & Engagement, overseeing all volunteer operations. This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, passion for animal welfare, and a commitment to support volunteers in their roles. Collaborate with various departments to strengthen community outreach and enhance volunteer contributions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Recruit, train, and engage volunteers for various programs
• Monitor and support day-to-day volunteer activities
• Foster collaboration between staff and volunteers




• Ensure fulfillment of administrative requirements per privacy standards
• Develop current roles to enhance shelter operations
Requirements:
• High school diploma required, post-secondary preferred
• Experience in Volunteer Administration beneficial
• Solid public speaking and presentation abilities
• Comfortable with various animal species
• Must pass a criminal record check
