This role reports to the Aquatics Supervisor, ensuring a protected and enjoyable aquatic workplace for YMCA members. Candidates should possess robust swimming skills and a commitment to safety. You will be responsible for lesson planning, administering evaluations, and building relationships while promoting YMCA values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guard pools to ensure swimmer safety at all times
• Teach swimming lessons with professionalism and excitement
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
• Promote YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign during programs




• Maintain accurate records and participate in training
Requirements:
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
• National Lifeguard certification required
• Experience in lifeguarding or swimming instruction is preferred
• Strong customer service abilities and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide valid Criminal Reference Check
