Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer (12- month Contract)
Introduction
We are seeking an Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C;) Engineer (Contract) to support the delivery of large-scale, custom water technology projects for a globally recognized organization operating at the forefront of sustainable water and environmental solutions.
In this senior role, you will work within a cross-functional engineering team executing complex project designs while meeting customer expectations related to quality, schedule, budget, and risk mitigation. You will lead electrical and/or instrumentation design activities and provide technical leadership on large, complex projects, while also supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities
Complete electrical and/or instrumentation design for complex, custom-engineered water technology projects
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver projects aligned with quality, schedule, budget, and risk objectives
Perform instrument selection and prepare instrument and automatic valve lists, datasheets, and I/O lists
Develop instrument installation details and supporting engineering documentation
Design electrical control panels, including panel layouts and schematics
Select and specify VFDs and motor starters
Provide engineering support to production facilities as required
Participate in customer-facing Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)
Support projects through commissioning activities
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to new and junior EI&C; engineers
Requirements
Strong experience in electrical and/or instrumentation engineering within project-based environments
Demonstrated ability to deliver complex, custom engineering projects
Experience producing electrical and instrumentation design deliverables
Comfort participating in customer-facing activities, including FATs and commissioning
Ability to provide senior-level technical leadership without formal people management
Strong collaboration, communication, and execution skills
