We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to provide technical authority, discipline leadership, and Engineer-of-Record accountability on industrial projects. What You’ll Do

Serve as the I&C; Discipline Lead and technical authority on assigned projects.

Act as Engineer of Record, taking professional responsibility for I&C; deliverables.

Lead the full lifecycle of instrumentation and controls design from concept development through detailed engineering and construction support.

Oversee instrument data sheet development, instrumentation selection, and control system architecture definition.

Specify and review control system hardware and software configurations (PLC/DCS/SCADA/ESD/BMS environments).

Review and approve key deliverables including schematics, loop drawings, control narratives, cause & effect matrices, and construction work packages.

Ensure compliance with all applicable municipal, provincial, federal, industry codes,



and client standards.

Define project scope, support proposal preparation, and provide discipline input to cost estimates and execution plans.

Allocate and manage I&C; engineering resources to meet budget and schedule commitments. New bullet….Interface regularly with clients to ensure I&C; engineering design alignment and to maintain a continued collaborative work approach.

Coordinate closely with mechanical, electrical, civil/structural, and process disciplines to ensure integrated design execution.

Mentor and technically guide junior engineers and technologists, elevating overall discipline capability within the organization.

Provide technical support during procurement, vendor review, and construction phases.

What You Bring

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.

Credentials: Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with APEGA and eligible to stamp as Engineer of Record.

Experience: 12+ years of progressive instrumentation and controls engineering experience within an industrial consulting engineering environment (oil & gas experience strongly preferred).

Demonstrated experience leading I&C; scope on multidisciplinary industrial projects.





Strong background in industrial instrumentation, control systems, hardware specification, and system integration.

Experience reviewing and approving vendor documentation.

SmartPlant Instrumentation (InTools) experience considered a strong asset.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant engineering software tools.

Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Legally entitled to work in Canada.
