Work Model : In-office (this is not a remote or hybrid role)
Wibbi builds technology at the core of modern health delivery. Our products span mobile apps, EMR integrations, digital care pathways, triage tools, outcome tracking, and business intelligence, used every day by healthcare professionals and patients. We work on complex, high-impact products, and we’re committed to pushing healthtech forward through scale and AI-enabled solutions.
Our success comes from how we show up for our clients, for patients, and for each other. That commitment shows up in our values:
Clients First – delivering service with a human touch.
Velocity & Agility – moving fast and adapting thoughtfully.
Together We Win – collaborating and celebrating success as one team.
Have Fun – bringing energy, positivity, and authenticity to everything we do.
We are looking for builders who want to take ownership, lead through execution, and help shape products that matter.
AI is still early at Wibbi. We don’t yet have an AI practice or deep in‑house expertise, and that’s exactly the opportunity. We’re hiring our first dedicated AI leader to build it from the ground up: to find where AI creates real value across our product and operations, prove it works, and bring the rest of the company along.
This is as much a leadership role as a technical one. You’ll define the strategy and build the systems, but you’ll also be the person who makes the case for AI to our leadership and engineering teams, turning possibilities into a roadmap people trust and earning the buy‑in to ship it inside a real, high‑stakes healthcare product. You won’t be inheriting a backlog; you’ll be setting the direction and building the conviction behind it.
Responsibilities
Data first. Evaluate our data, instrument what’s missing,
and do the feature engineering that makes everything downstream possible. You set the foundation.
Agentic pipelines. Design and build the agents and RAG systems that power the product, including outbound voice agents for patient outreach, appointment and follow‑up reminders, and check‑ins, where the interesting work is natural conversation flow, reliable downstream actions, and getting it right within healthcare’s compliance constraints.
Evaluation as a first‑class discipline. Build the frameworks and benchmarks that decide whether something is trustworthy enough to ship in healthcare. This is where rigor actually matters.
Deploy and own it. Take systems from experiment to production, accountable for the accuracy, latency, and cost trade‑offs that decide whether AI is genuinely usable here.
Set the direction. The AI roadmap across product and operations is yours to define, along with the tooling, best practices, and architecture for AI as the team scales.
This is an AI leadership role first, and Python is the heart of the work. Our platform runs on PHP/Laravel with a modern web architecture (REST APIs, databases, queues, caching, and cloud infrastructure on AWS) in a SaaS workplace, with a Vue.js/React frontend and the usual modern tooling (Docker, CI/CD). Over time you’ll work across this stack to embed AI where it matters, but we are explicitly not looking for a Laravel veteran. These are mainstream technologies our developers use every day,
and a strong engineer picks them up the same way the rest of the team did. If you’ve shipped production systems and can reason about full‑stack architecture, we’ll back you while you ramp. Your AI depth is what we’re hiring for.
Qualifications
Deep hands‑on GenAI experience: RAG, agents, embeddings, and especially rigorous evaluation of LLM systems.
Experience taking AI through the full lifecycle (data, features, pipeline, deployment), not just one slice of it.
A track record of shipping ML/AI to production: real systems, not prototypes or notebooks.
The judgment to turn ambitious ideas into reliable, maintainable software.
A pull toward ownership and ambiguity: you want to build something, not maintain it.
You shape and build the AI direction of a company operating at real scale, in a domain where the work genuinely matters.
A product where AI quality is a clinical and competitive differentiator, not a demo that never ships.
A collaborative, entrepreneurial team that gives you room to grow alongside the practice you build.
Competitive senior‑level compensation and growth opportunities.
Delivering meaningful, production‑grade AI capabilities into our platform, plus the agentic and voice pipelines that drive real patient and operational impact.
Establishing evaluation and engineering standards the rest of the team can build on.
Helping the company adopt practical AI workflows that improve how we build and operate.
Acting as a technical leader and trusted problem solver across the organization.
Opportunity to shape the future direction of AI within the company.
High ownership and ability to make a real impact.
Competitive compensation and growth opportunities.
Chance to work on cutting‑edge AI initiatives in a real‑world SaaS environment.
