Senior Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join a growing team.

The individual will own the following responsibilities:

Develop cloud native solutions for a cutting-edge CI/CD ecosystem

Learn from a great team of fellow engineers in building real-world cloud scale solutions across public and private clouds

Contribute to a team of like-minded platform engineers building platforms in Azure and GCP public clouds

Promote automation and infrastructure best practices

Lead the installation, upgrades and integration of the current and future Kubernetes platform(s), technologies and tools

Face challenging technical problems, use your expertise to solve them, and help peers by sharing your unique solutions

Create educational material for fellow engineers, like sample cloud native apps and starter code

Continuously learn current technical skills and apply them in day-to-day work

Provide mentorship to peers

Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills, along with technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

Be able to work flexible hours when required

Develop criteria for and participate in the evaluation of third-party vendors and software, as well as due diligence exercises

Manage all aspects of testing and verification ensuring tasks are performed for all interfaces





Define, plan and execute high-level team activities, including architecture and process-improvement recommendations

Provide guidance to support staff in conducting performance tuning and capacity planning within the Cloud Infrastructure platform

Required experience and education
Must have:

A passion for making developers more efficient through DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code

3+ years of experience with Infrastructure Automation and Infrastructure as Code (Azure/GCP)

3+ years of experience with cloud networking and security setup, configuration, and troubleshooting

3+ years of experience with developing Terraform modules (preference Enterprise)

3+ years of experience with Kubernetes setup, configuration, and optimization

3+ years of experience with Python or GoLang

Experience with Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible, Artifactory, Helm

Communication skills necessary to work on a geographically distributed team

Nice-to-Have:

HashiCorp Terraform Associate Certificate

CKA certification

Experience with Kubernetes custom operators development

Experience working in a SAFe, Kanban, or Scrum development methodology
