We are recruiting a mid‑level Corporate Securities Associate for the Capital Markets group in the Calgary office. This role offers the opportunity to develop legal and client‑service skills through local, national, and international corporate finance transactions, public mergers and acquisitions, and securities law matters.
Qualifications and Attributes
2 to 5 years of post‑call corporate securities law practice experience with an emphasis on capital markets and M&A; from a national, regional, or reputable securities boutique law firm
Experience acting for issuers, underwriters and selling shareholders in domestic and cross‑border public offerings and private placement of debt, equity and structured finance products
Experience with public M&A; transactions, including take‑over bids, plans of arrangement, and corporate reorganizations.
Experience with corporate governance requirements, stock exchange compliance, continuous disclosure obligations and general regulatory compliance matters.
Superior communication, drafting skills and solid attention to detail
Client orientated
A law degree and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta.
