The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of experience in acute mental health, including specific experience with children and adolescents. You will demonstrate psychiatric assessment skills, crisis intervention, and an understanding of community resources. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in providing immediate care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychiatric assessments and crisis interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care
• Support clients and families through effective communication
• Educate colleagues on mental health best practices
• Manage co-occurring disorders within a biopsychosocial framework
Requirements:
• Minimum two years acute mental health experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing or psychiatric nursing program
• Registered with relevant Manitoba nursing bodies
• Excellence in verbal and written communication
• Ability to teach and lead within a healthcare team
