Lead electrical design for custom automation projects with a top machine building client in Toronto, Ontario. This onsite Senior Electrical Design Engineer role offers hands-on project involvement and expert technical engagement.
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and ensure high-quality designs align with customer specifications. Key responsibilities include designing control systems, developing electrical drawings, and troubleshooting PLC & HMI systems. Program and commission automated equipment while supporting junior engineers in a team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and detail electrical control systems with AutoCAD Electrical
• Generate accurate Bills of Materials and source components
• Program and troubleshoot multi-platform PLC & HMI systems
• Commission automated equipment installations at client sites
• Manage engineering documentation and support ECR processing
Requirements:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology with controls focus
• 5+ years of experience in electrical controls design
• Solid PLC & HMI programming skills (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
• Familiarity with servo and VFD motion control systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and troubleshooting
