Join Awanui Labs, part of the largest pathology network in New Zealand, as a Trainee in Patient Services. This fixed-term role requires 50 hours per fortnight, starting October 12, 2026. Responsibilities include assisting with workplace drug testing and delivering exceptional customer service in our Hamilton collection centre, all while learning from a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with workplace drug testing services under supervision
• Provide qualified customer service daily
• Contribute to the efficient operations of the collection centre




• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards
• Follow established policies for specimen handling
Requirements:
• Friendly approach and robust customer service skills
• Attention to detail even under pressure
• Basic computer skills and eligibility to work in Current Zealand
• Health care passion and sensitivity to patient needs
• Registration with the Medical Science Council is a plus
