CMHA Peel Dufferin seeks a full time Peer Support Worker for their Outreach Team. Your role includes supporting adults with mental health issues through the Housing First approach. You will facilitate group activities, deliver life skills training, and assist clients in achieving personal recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide mental health and addictions consultation to current clients
Develop and implement recovery and wellness plans
Conduct Wellness-based Groups at drop-in and shelter locations
Advocate for clients with community resources
Monitor client wellness and initiate interventions as needed
Requirements:
College Diploma in Social Services or related field
Minimum 1 year of experience with vulnerable populations
Knowledge and experience in mental health promotion
Peer certification and lived experience an asset
Valid driver's license and police check required
