Join Vaco/Highspring as a Senior SOX Consultant in the Greater Toronto Area. This role focuses on strengthening internal controls and overseeing audit processes.
In this 6- to 9-month engagement, you will collaborate with process owners to resolve control deficiencies and contribute to strategic initiatives impacting the SOX setting. Your expert guidance will help enhance operational and financial control frameworks, while supporting quarterly certification and audit activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement corrective action plans
Optimize financial and operational controls
Evaluate control documentation for accuracy
Assist in walkthroughs and testing for audits
Support the SOX certification process quarterly
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years in SOX or internal audit
CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent designation preferred
Experience with large ERP systems in multinational settings
Background in industries like manufacturing or cannabis
Familiarity with PCAOB standards
