Description

This role is under a hybrid work arrangement and requires working 3 days in the office at 40 St. Clair Ave. West, Toronto and 2 days remote from home office within Ontario

The key deliverables for this role is to:

Review and update the existing ECHO information Architecture (conceptual, logical and physical) to ensure it is current to the latest build

Develop a business intelligence (BI) data model (conceptual, logical, physical) based on the client needs

Map the transaction data model to the BI data model

Map the UI data fields to logical model to business components and physical model as the system is on a Siebel platform. This will facilitate future data extraction from the transactional system

Note: Existing data model is documented in Power Designer. Updates to the existing model and the new model are to be also documented in Power Designer.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive information architecture needs assessment under the guidance and leadership of project leads and cluster architects

Conducts and facilitates stakeholder interviews and/or workshops to determine reporting requirements

Plans, leads and facilitates review sessions to confirm and/or validate requirements

Lead, develop and present required information architecture artifacts to support Corporate/Cluster ARB approvals

Interface Data Requirements and design

Support project leads to create detailed plans and resource estimates for information architecture components

Provide information architecture expertise and support/inform to solution design/development

Adhere to all applicable GO-ITS standards

Revise architectures per action and/or conditions arising from LRCs governance body (Project Gating Review Committee) and Corporate EA Governance review bodies as required

Knowledge Transfer Requirements

Knowledge transfer is expected to occur throughout the duration of the assignment through regular meetings, touchpoints, and working sessions with LRC staff

All design, development, artefacts, and source code, including all relevant and complete documents must be transferred to the ministry in the designated repositories provided

Dedicated knowledge transfer sessions will be scheduled to ensure completeness of knowledge transfer and all documentation is shared,



and allow LRC staff to ask clarification and/or follow up questions

SkillsExperience and Skill Set Requirements

Evaluation Criteria:

Information Architecture Skills 60%

Hands on demonstrated experience in the creation of data models (Conceptual, Logical, Physical) and capturing information integration requirements

Demonstrated experience in developing Fact & Dimensional Matrix

Demonstrated experience in determining Resource Types, using existing Business Process Models

Demonstrated experience in creating and normalizing Logical Data Models (With complete attributes, data type and data size)

Demonstrated experience in developing information architecture specifications through interpretation of relevant Business Architecture models and other business/application specifications

Demonstrated experience in information modeling for Siebel based applications

Hands on experience creating architecture artefacts, models and/or reports using PowerDesigner

Demonstrated experience in leading in-depth and complex information architecture reviews and assessments, development and/or support projects, to support new and changed enterprise priorities and initiatives, and client clusters and their clients information architecture and/or business needs

Experience producing and presenting information architecture deliverables to successfully obtain Corporate/Cluster ARB approval

Demonstrated knowledge and working experience applying / aligning with OPS Information Architecture standards

Soft Skills 30%

Public Sector Experience 10%

Experience with OPS or Public Sector I⁢ standards, project delivery methodologies, and practices





Experience with OPS or Public Sector enterprise architecture review / approval processes (Cluster and Corporate)

Demonstrated knowledge of Public Sector applications, databases and systems

Experience working in accordance with policies and procedures of the Ontario Public Service

Working knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)

10+ years demonstrated experience in creation of data models (Conceptual, Logical, Physical) and capturing information integration requirements

Experience producing and presenting information architecture deliverables (models) to successfully obtain Cluster/Corporate ARB approval.

10+ years demonstrated experience in developing BI data models (conceptual, logical, physical)

10+ demonstrated experience in creating and normalizing Logical Data Models with complete attributes, data type and data size

Demonstrated experience in information modeling for systems based on Siebel is an asset

10+ years demonstrated experience in developing information architecture specifications through interpretation of relevant Business Architecture models

10+ years demonstrated experience in defining, identifying and describing information architectural requirements with clients, and obtaining I⁢ management approval

Demonstrated experience in leading in-depth and complex information architecture reviews and assessments

Demonstrated experience in providing skilled information architecture expertise and undertaking comprehensive architecture needs assessments and complex reviews in support of systems/infrastructure needs

Demonstrated experience providing plans and resource estimates for large-scale and complex information architecture projects

Demonstrated hands on experience creating architecture artefacts, models and/or reports using PowerDesigner (or similar architecture/modeling tools)

MUST HAVES:

Hands on demonstrated experience in the creation of data models (Conceptual, Logical, Physical) and capturing information integration requirements

Demonstrated experience in developing Fact & Dimensional Matrix

Demonstrated knowledge and working experience applying / aligning with OPS Information Architecture standards

Hands on experience creating architecture artefacts, models and/or reports using PowerDesigner

Demonstrated experience in creating and normalizing Logical Data Models (With complete attributes, data type and data size)
