Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent Position
Schedule: 7-days on, 7-days off rotation with 12-hour workdays
Duties & Responsibilities

Greet all visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner.

Conduct wellness checks with all employees, contractors, and visitors according to company procedures.

Monitor, enforce, and regularly update workplace safety policies and procedures to maintain a high level of health and safety performance.

Identify and report health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage at the workplace.

Compile and distribute information/data pertaining to reported incidents; accurately prepare other applicable correspondence, documents, and reports as needed.

Compile man-hours and number of people on-site in compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies.

Implement the claims management process.

Assist the Health & Safety Coordinator as required.

Respond to emergencies and administer competent first aid.

Implementation of defined health standards at mine sites, including drug and alcohol programs.

Participate in drug and alcohol program as a collector.

Ensure site security as mandated by country, provincial, state, and/or local regulatory codes, including but not limited to controlling access and egress to properties by employees, contractors, and others; monitoring all security breaches.

Willing to obtain a mine rescue certificate and participate in mine rescue activities.

Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

Minimum three years' experience in first aid experience, with OFA Level 3 Certification.

Valid Driver's License

Previous experience in the mining industry or an industrial setting is an asset.

Valid BC Mine Rescue Certificate is also considered an asset.





Must be able to work 12-hour day and night shifts; on a 7x7 rotation.

Must be able to communicate in English.

Proven safety and attendance record.

Ability to remain calm and work effectively in emergent, high-stress situations.

Above average computer skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially spreadsheets and databases.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Committed to high standards in health and safety performance.

Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, valuable judgment, and discretion, with a strong emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.

Self-starter with strong organizational skills, able to manage tasks independently.

Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.

Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, trainees, and leadership.
