Hours of Employment: 30 to 35 Hours/Week
Work Setting: In-home/Employer’s home

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide supervision and care for children in the employer’s residence in absence of parents.
Follow the parent’s instructions to oversee children’s daily routines, including meals and rest periods while maintaining a protected and nurturing setting.
Plan, prepare, and serve meals for children and may undertake additional household tasks.
Teach children about personal hygiene practices and administer discipline to children in accordance with the parents' specified methods.
Assist with bathing, dressing, and feeding children.




Offer age-appropriate educational guidance through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings.
Escort children to and from school, extracurricular activities, and appointments, and assist with homework and school-related tasks.
Shop for groceries and household supplies as required to support daily household operations.
Keep records of daily activities and any relevant information related to the children’s health and well-being.
Attend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development.

Skilled Skills and Requirements
Secondary School graduation required.
Experience is an asset.
Fluent in English and excellent verbal communication skills; high level of confidentiality, integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
Overtime may be required sometimes; position could be physically demanding.
Good time management skills, client focus, flexibility, organized, reliable, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Knowing another language such as Gujarati would be an asset.
