Join Kleinfelder as an Intermediate Instrumentation and Controls Specialist. This role in our Edmonton or Calgary office demands your expertise in instrumentation design for diverse projects within the oil and gas sector.

Reporting directly to the Instrumentation & Controls Lead, you will be integral in delivering technical solutions that meet cost, schedule, and contractual requirements. Your experience of over 6 years will guide instrumental design efforts while collaborating on engineering work packages.

Proficiency in Smart Plant Instrumentation is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
Design instrumentation and controls for assorted projects
Assist with client instrumentation and communication requests




Create instrument data sheets and wiring diagrams
Conduct design work for DCS, PLC, SCADA systems
Participate in HAZOP, PHA, and SIL studies

Requirements:
6+ years of instrumentation experience in oil and gas
APEGA or ASET registration in Alberta is required
Technical Diploma or relevant Bachelor’s degree
Expertise with Smart Plant Instrumentation needed
Previous EPC experience preferred
