This full time temporary role based in Halifax will involve direct interaction with children and families while facilitating their navigation through complex healthcare systems. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, utilizing your clinical experience to offer counseling, advocacy, and psychosocial support, enhancing overall care quality.
Your practical knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act will aid you in resource allocation and program collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and family therapy for chronic illness adjustments
Provide intake and on-call services for the Children's Health Program
Liaise with various agencies for community resource access
Assist in program development and evaluation initiatives
Facilitate psychosocial support and advocacy for patients
Requirements:
Master's Degree in Social Work required
Licensed or eligible for licensure in Nova Scotia
At least two years of relevant experience needed
Pediatric clinical experience preferred
Familiarity with healthcare resource navigation required
