Idylwyld Medical Centre is seeking a Temporary Full Time Social Worker. Reporting to Dr. Shawn Smit or Renee Jansen, the Social Worker will be responsible for case management, assessment and counseling services to adults who are experiencing changes in their quality of life due to the deterioration of their mental health and/or social circumstances.
Responsibilities:
Within the school/community context, will complete social, emotional and behavioural assessments of children (typically 3 8 years of age), provide consultation and counselling as identified by community partners
Maintain regular and frequent contact with family members and community partner personnel in homes, schools and other community settings as appropriate
Provide concrete support for families (e.g., housing, transportation)
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Experience and training in Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Counseling and
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Valid Saskatchewan Driver's License and reliable transportation
