At MatchBox Consulting Group , we're partnering with a well-established and highly respected real estate developer to find a Corporate Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA candidate or recently designated CPA looking to gain exposure to complex multi-entity accounting, consolidated financial reporting, and a collaborative corporate finance environment. You'll work alongside experienced accounting professionals, build on your technical expertise, and contribute to the financial operations of a large and diversified real estate organization. Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and accounting adjustments for multiple corporate entities.

Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including consolidation activities.

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, intercompany, and other key accounts.

Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and supporting schedules.

Assist with preparing management reporting packages and financial statements.

Support annual audits and interim reviews by preparing audit working papers and responding to audit requests.

Assist with GST filings and ensure compliance with ASPE and internal accounting policies.

Analyze general ledger activity, investigate variances, and review trial balances.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Review and approve invoices for assigned entities and business units.

Maintain supporting schedules and reporting metrics.

Contribute to process improvements,



internal controls, and accounting system enhancements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

CPA candidate or recently designated CPA preferred.

2-4 years of progressive accounting experience.

Experience working in a multi-entity environment is preferred.

Real estate, development, or property accounting experience is considered an asset.

Exposure to month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Experience with Yardi or similar accounting software is an asset.

Solid understanding of ASPE.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
