Hydron is a clean fuel company unlocking “net-zero” energy in the Renewable Natural Gas and Blue Hydrogen markets.

We are growing and hiring a Field Engineer to install, commission, and train the operators at sites mainly in North America. This role aligns with internal departments and customers and is the primary channel of support to the commissioning team to ensure the quick, efficient and successful commissioning of new equipment in the field.

Responsibilities include

Responsible for the efficient operations and routine maintenance of Hydron’s gas upgrading systems.

Monitor the field to ensure reliability and safe production while meeting the targets.

Provide safe and effective troubleshooting as required

Monitor and evaluate process conditions to achieve optimum performance

Uphold quality standards for new equipment through factory acceptance tests.

Following SOPs and Safety Protocols

Align with customers to ensure their facility is ready for commissioning.

Prepare and execute engineering change orders for commissioning.

Plan logistics to local and global customer sites for commissioning visits.

Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Testing teams.

Analyze quality data gathered from internal processes and field data.

Work to support continual improvement and increased customer satisfaction.

Skills and Experience





The ideal candidate is a motivated enthusiastic team player with strong work ethic

A minimum of 2 year of field operating experience in gas industry.

Formal education in a technical field.

3 years of equipment commissioning experience

Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor

Must follow and apply the site’s secure work procedures and requirements

Detail orientated, self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised

Proficient in MS Office, Adobe, and Windows software.

Valid driver license and reliable vehicle operation history

Current certification in H2S alive, First Aid, WHIMIS, and TDG is preferred

P. Eng registration is an asset.

Experience with data acquisition systems and project management is an asset.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience dealing directly with customers.

Efficient time management and prioritization skills. Language: English (required)

Willingness to travel to the customers’ site (required)

$80,000 - $95,000, depending on level of related experience
