Live Receive Team Leader
Location: 2619 91 Ave, Edmonton, AB T6P 1S3
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4:00am – 12:30pm
Compensation: Negotiable

Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining animal welfare, scheduling and assigning employees, establishing priorities, lairage monitoring, revising schedules and resolving problems
Oversee Live Receive employees, achieve production objectives, verify and implement manufacturing procedures
Takes initiative and exercises timely, good judgment in day‑to‑day business decisions
Maintains a safe working environment by educating and directing employees on the use of equipment and resources while complying with OHSA, JHSC recommendations or MOL work orders, company safety rules, GMPs and HACCP including documentation
Supports food safety issues relating to processing and acts as a role model in following food safety protocols
Reduces and eliminates workplace accidents
Develops, directs, manages, trains and motivates employees by communicating job expectations, evaluating results, coaching, counseling and disciplining in a timely manner
Maintains a positive employee relations environment by communicating effectively with peers, employees and managers
Understands and administers the collective agreement and other company policies and procedures
Recognizes, supports and commits to the Food Safety promise and facility mission statement,
ensuring product production is wholesome and suggesting improvements to food safety on the production floor
Qualifications
Proven initiative and leadership skills
Continuous learning and willingness to embrace change
Experience and commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices
Knowledge of HACCP and Provincial Health and Safety Regulations
