The Role
We're looking for a self-motivated, superstar Pharmacist - 12 months contract to join the amazing Pocketpills team.
Job Duties
Provide virtual consultation including minor ailment assessments and answer medication-related questions through various mediums efficiently and courteously
Perform clinical verifications for prescriptions on time to ensure efficient operations
Conduct technical checks on medication orders in an efficient manner
Provide coaching and guidance to pharmacy team members to improve the pharmacy processes
Provide guidance to pharmacy students through shadowing opportunities, direct coaching, and timely, constructive feedback to support their learning and professional growth.
Partner with pharmacy manager and operations management to review processes regularly to ensure optimal efficiency,
effectiveness and embrace continuous improvement
Review escalated issues for resolution. Interface with patients and team members as needed to resolve
Ensure compliance with applicable Federal and Provincial laws, rules and regulations
Proactively collaborate with the team to ensure continuity of care and minimize therapy interruptions for patients.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
Must hold and maintain registration as a Part A Pharmacist in positive standing with the BC College of Pharmacists.
At least 6 months of experience in a pharmacy practice
Passion for providing optimal patient-centered care to all patients
Ability to achieve results with a strong sense of urgency and a "can-do" attitude.
Quick to adapt to evolving technology and able to troubleshoot or navigate systems without letting it impact performance.
Detail-oriented with a collaborative, team-first approach and positive attitude
Proactive mindset with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to results
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Flexible and responsive to changing priorities and business needs
Strong time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines.
Clear and professional verbal and written communication abilities

Compensation & Status
Hourly Rate: $48.00 – $50.00/hour (based on experience, knowledge, skills, and market alignment)
Status: Maternity leave Coverage Part-time, up to 24 hours/week
Availability: Monday to Friday, based on operational needs
