Career Opportunity: Child Safety- Family Guidance Supervisor

Location: Prince George, BC

Employment Type: Full-Time (35 hours per week)

Responsibilities

Under the CFCSA, receives, assesses and processes information related to support, needs, protection, safety and well-being of children and youth.

Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely case documentation in required information management systems.

Acts as the legal guardian of children in care by assessing the child’s strengths and needs regarding permanency, identity, placement, health, legal, education/social recreational activities and self-care/independence skills.

Attend seminars and take part in professional development related to your role.

Ensure department practice aligns with the CSFS policy and practice framework.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Art in Child and Youth Care.

Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Child and Family Services, including at least 3 years of current experience in child safety.

Supervisory training and experience supervising staff preferred.

Currently have C6 delegation through MCFD in BC, or have been C6 delegated within the past 3 years.





Experience working with Indigenous communities and child welfare organizations preferred.

Ability to travel regularly.

Salary and Benefits
Wage Range: $48.01 to $62.28 per hour.
