This position will be based out of our Surrey Install location and is ideal for a hands-on leader who can supervise and facilitate the daily operations of the Install shop, support the team, and ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Manage all shop activities in order to achieve specific goals and targetsGrow and develop the Shop into a future profit center with a strong emphasis on productivity, efficiency, and quality controlCoach, mentor and maintain skill set/training levels of Shop team to be able to build and support a wide array of projects.Act as liaison between the Shop, Sales and Parts Departments and Leadership/HR Team.Ensure company policies are consistently adhered to and upheld by all staff members.Ensure that all health, safety and security regulations are adhered to and required standards are met.Discuss and understand current and upcoming projects in the shop by means of frequent and consistent discussions with the Foreperson/Leadhands/Parts and Sales Departments.Identify current and future customer needs by establishing rapport with customers and other departments to understand installation requirements.Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean work environmentEnsure a working knowledge of all company departments to gain perspective, including marketing, sales, customer service, purchasing,



and human resources.Manage Shop parts staff and ensure all procedures are followed.Oversee all Shop Parts Inventory and assist Sales Admin in managing the storage of all Capital Equipment on premise.Handle customer issues as they arise, escalating to the appropriate individual as deemed necessary.Ensure a prompt, efficient, and timely flow of paperwork from the Shop to head office including timecard and payroll information.Performing other duties as required, such as shop administration, employee relations, communications, budget and reporting, and all other shop manager duties as assigned.Qualifications:Ideally, a minimum of 5+ years of related experience in the industrial or heavy equipment sector, working independently to manage and oversee a heavy equipment shopPossession of a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicleTheir Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician / MechanicLeadership and organizational skillsPrior experience in a managerial roleThe ability to work as part of a teamThe ability to lead and motivate when necessaryExcellent communication and ‘people’ skillsHydraulic and electrical experience and knowledge is a definite assetSolid mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems and read schematicsThe ability to maneuver in and around heavy equipmentThe ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situationsConfidence, drive and enthusiasmCritical thinking and detail orientedAbout the Benefits:Competitive wage rates100% prescription coverage and paramedical coverage100% basic dental coverageLong-term disability (LTD)Paid sick daysPaid vacation available in the first year of employmentRRSP/DPSP plan with matching contribution by the companyPremiums if you hold a current occupational first aid ticketOpportunities for training and developmentNon-unionized environmentApprenticeship program reimbursed by the companyAmazing Employee Referral ProgramFalcon Equipment is an equal opportunity employer.* We thank all interested applicants; however, only those under consideration and legally entitled to work in Canada shall be contacted.Job Types: Full time, PermanentPay: From CA$105,000.00 per yearApply Now#J-18808-Ljbffr
