Position: Accounting Technician – Montréal
Reporting to the Assistant Director – Accounting and Operations, you will play a strategic role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of all accounting processes, supporting the organization’s financial activities.

Billing & Accounts Receivable (60%)

Handle billing for assigned projects, including preparation, validation, and sending invoices to clients.

Produce draft invoices according to agreements and partner recommendations.

Record invoices in the accounting system.

Monitor payments, including client advances.

Prepare and send account statements.

Follow up on accounts receivable.

Respond to client inquiries about billing (email and phone).

Analyze customer accounts and issue credit notes as needed.

Ensure administrative follow‑up of contracts and fee proposals.

Ensure accuracy of financial information related to projects.

Accounts Payable & Expenses (40%)

Participate in accounts payable management.





Record supplier invoices.

Enter and reconcile expenses, including expense reports and credit cards.

Other Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team to ensure financial deadlines are met.

Maintain complete and up‑to‑date accounting records.

Qualifications

College diploma in accounting or a related field.

5–7 years of experience in a similar role.

Proven experience in project‑based accounting.

Experience working with integrated ERP accounting systems.

Knowledge of Dynamics Great Plains software is an asset.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and high level of professionalism and discretion.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
