We are introducing a new position: JD Edwards E1 Super User, dedicated to supporting our Maintenance team in leveraging E1 – the essential tool for managing preventive and corrective maintenance programs and driving cost control initiatives. Our Maintenance Planners, Supervisors, and Reliability staff spend 30–50% of their time in E1, making this role critical for improving efficiency, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting major capital projects. With over $400M in recent assets requiring warranty control and integration into E1, this position will play a key role in meeting our UPTIME and Zero Defects/Zero Lates objectives.

Responsibilities
JD Edwards E1 CMMS Administration

Configure and maintain the ISI portion of the E1 CMMS.

Collaborate with JDI Corporate resources to align with corporate maintenance standards.

Train users on full E1 functionality and provide ongoing support.

Implement system upgrades and enhancements.

Capital Project Maintainability

Ensure new projects incorporate maintainability, space limitations, and standardized equipment design.

Integrate lifecycle considerations (safety, environmental, end-of-life) into E1.

Work closely with Facilities and Engineering teams to transfer and store project data for maintenance use.

Onboarding New Infrastructure

Set up new assets in E1, including asset numbers, specifications, preventive maintenance programs, and warranty data.





Create PM and corrective job plans and track turnover deficiencies.

Process Documentation

Contribute to updates for maintenance policies, processes, and work instructions to ensure standardization.

Qualifications

Trade certification, college diploma, or degree in Maintenance Management or electrical/mechanical disciplines.

Strong proficiency with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Experience with JD Edwards E1 is highly preferred.

Maintenance management experience in heavy industry and unionized environments is an asset.

Skills in leadership, change management, and influencing others effectively.

Certifications such as Maintenance Management Professional or CMMS specialization are considered an advantage.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
