What is the chance?
This role is critical to protecting RBC employees and assets across the enterprise. The Senior Analyst monitors global security threats, evaluates travel risks, and delivers actionable intelligence that enables protected and compliant business travel worldwide. By collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to implement security protocols and manage incidents, you’ll directly support organizational safety, operational continuity, and regulatory compliance, key drivers of RBC’s strategic commitment to employee protection and enterprise resilience.
What will you do?
Monitor global security threats including political instability, natural disasters, and health crises using risk databases, news feeds, and government advisories.
Conduct risk assessments for employee security and travel, including destination‑specific threat evaluations.
Prepare reports, alerts, and briefings for travelers and stakeholders on emerging risks and security guidance.
Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the Employee Protection and Travel Security Risk program.
Analyze post‑incident data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve security protocols.
Coordinate with external security vendors and internal partners on incident response and crisis management.
Assist with updating travel security policies, procedures, and databases to reflect evolving threats and organizational needs.
What do you need to succeed?
Must‑have
2-4 years of experience in travel security, threat intelligence, security analytics, or related risk management field.
Demonstrated expertise with risk databases, threat intelligence platforms, and travel tracking systems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess threats, interpret complex data, and deliver actionable recommendations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and security software platforms.
Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and crisis situations with sound judgment.
Nice‑to‑have
Post‑secondary education in International Relations, Security Studies, Intelligence Studies, or Political Science.
Knowledge of global geopolitical trends, regional security dynamics, and cultural nuances affecting travel safety.
Experience working in large, complex organizations with diverse stakeholders across multiple functions.
Professional designation or certification in security, risk management, or business continuity.
