UX Designer II

Within Bentley, the Design organization shapes meaningful experiences, from brand to in‑product interactions, with clarity, coherence, and craft. The Design System team is a multidisciplinary group that examines web and product experiences across Bentley and creates solutions that meet the needs of our users and the company.

As a UX Designer II on the Design System team, you will apply your expertise in visual craft and interaction design to shape foundational elements, components, and patterns. You will work closely with Product Managers, UX Researchers, Software Engineers, subject‑matter experts, and users to define requirements and deliver a Figma component library with supporting assets. These resources will help product designers create high‑quality solutions faster, improve coherence across Bentley’s product ecosystem, and move the organization toward a global maximum. You will also partner with the Accessibility Initiative to ensure the Design System meets AA standards, with accessibility built directly into its components.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain components, patterns, tokens, and documentation that make up the Design System.

Partner with engineers to ensure components are built faithfully and work within technical constraints.

Work with internal and external stakeholders to scope new components and assets in a quick‑paced, collaborative environment.

Plan and execute your UX work in alignment with product design and development cycles.





Contribute to user research and translate findings into design improvements.

Support product teams in adopting the Design System and help shape its governance and versioning over time.

Qualifications

Experience designing and maintaining design systems for product ecosystems.

Experience designing enterprise/B2B software across multiple platforms.

Professional portfolio that demonstrates strong problem‑solving and attention to detail.

Advanced Figma skills (libraries, components, variables/tokens).

Ability to interpret software engineering concepts and design within known constraints.

Solid presentation, negotiation, and collaboration skills.

Fluency in written and spoken English.

Pluses

Familiarity with the infrastructure field.

Prior exposure to 3D/CAD.

Degree in Human‑Computer Interaction, Computer Science, User Experience, or related field.
