Become a pivotal advocate for indigenous initiatives as an Advisor for Indigenous Community Engagement with Trekor in McLeese Lake, BC. This full time position supports relationship-building and cultural understanding.
In collaboration with the Indigenous Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for nurturing connections with Indigenous communities. Your contributions will extend to coordinating committee meetings, supporting human resources in local hiring efforts, and promoting cultural awareness through content creation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Nurture relationships with local Indigenous communities
• Support Indigenous Implementation Committee meetings
• Coordinate community events and fundraising activities
• Assist HR in hiring local Indigenous candidates
• Develop engaging social media content
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of administrative experience
• At least 5 years working with Indigenous peoples
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office software
• Valid driver's license required
