Title: Regional Mental Health, Healing & Wellness Liaison

Salary: $91,172 - $107,261 - $123,351 per year

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Regular, 37.5 hours a week (core hours 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, Monday–Friday)

Location: Matsqui Office – Hybrid (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy).

About The Role
As the Regional Mental Health, Healing & Wellness Liaison, you support First Nations communities throughout the Fraser Salish Region by providing leadership, coordination, consultation, and system navigation related to mental health, healing, wellness, and substance use services. Working through a Two‑Eyed Seeing approach, you support culturally safe and holistic wellness pathways that honour the First Nations Perspective on Health and Wellness. Your contributions strengthen community capacity, facilitate collaboration among partners, support access to services, identify systemic gaps, and advance community‑defined wellness priorities.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or an acceptable combination of education and experience

Significant,



recent and relevant mental health and wellness experience (usually acquired over 5–7 years)

Experience working in a regional mental health and substance use setting and with First Nations individuals, families, communities, or First Nations‑serving organizations

Experience working with multi‑disciplinary teams specific to mental health and wellness

Knowledge And Abilities

In‑depth knowledge of the BC mental health and substance use system and the current landscape of First Nations health in BC

Solid understanding of the First Nations Perspective on Health and Wellness

Wide, regional knowledge base of existing mental health and substance use services and supports

Thorough understanding of person‑centered principles to provide holistic, integrated, coordinated, and high‑quality care that respects diversity and culture

Trauma‑informed practice

Physical ability to perform the duties of the position

Working at FNHA

Municipal Pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.31%

3 weeks’ vacation, increasing to 4 weeks with service, plus 5 personal days, 1 volunteer day, and 14 public holidays including National Indigenous People’s Day, National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, Easter Monday and Boxing Day

All FNHA employees complete San’yas Indigenous Cultural Safety Training and develop a yearly wellness plan as part of performance partnership and goal‑setting

Leading with culture, the pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full‑time equivalent hours. Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted within the range based on knowledge, skills, and experience in relation to the role requirements. The top 10 % of the pay range is reserved for incumbents who are industry experts with exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties at a superior level.
