Location: Enterprise-wide (Bolton, ON & Calgary, AB)
The Opportunity
Agrocrop Exports is looking for a Maintenance Manager to own the enterprise maintenance, reliability, and asset management strategy across our manufacturing network. This is both a hands‑on leadership role and a strategic one: you'll build high‑performing teams and keep automated production lines running reliably day to day, while also shaping the multi‑year reliability roadmap, influencing capital and network investment decisions, and setting the standard for preventive and predictive maintenance, reliability engineering, and CMMS governance. You'll operate as a strategic partner to senior leadership, translating asset performance into business impact, and to Operations, Engineering (External), and Quality as the business grows.
What You'll Do
Shape Enterprise Strategy
Own the long-term reliability and asset management roadmap for the enterprise, aligning it to business growth and production strategy.
Act as a strategic advisor to senior operations leadership, translating asset performance and reliability data into business-level decisions.
Influence enterprise capital planning and network-wide investment priorities, including new.
Represent the maintenance function in cross‑functional strategy discussions spanning Operations, Engineering (External), Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercialization.
Identify and champion digital maintenance and automation initiatives that create a competitive advantage across the network.
Lead the Maintenance Function
Own the enterprise maintenance strategy across all facilities, standardizing systems, procedures, and best practices.
Build maintenance team capability through coaching, succession planning, and technical training.
Direct reports: Maintenance Lead, Technicians, Apprentices, a future Maintenance Planner, contractors and OEM service providers.
Drive Reliability & Maintenance Programs
Implement reliability‑centred maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Own preventive and predictive maintenance programs and drive compliance across sites.
Develop an enterprise spare parts strategy and asset lifecycle plan.
Support Automation & Technical Systems
Provide maintenance leadership for automated equipment, including robotics, PLCs, servo systems, VFDs, conveyors, vision systems, utilities, and packaging equipment.
Own CMMS, Planning & Reporting
Govern CMMS data, maintenance planning, scheduling, and KPI reporting enterprise‑wide.
Lead Capital Projects
Direct maintenance activities for capital projects, equipment installations, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.
Manage Budget, Cost & Compliance
Manage maintenance budgets, contractor relationships, and cost optimization initiatives.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, HACCP, GMP, and BRC requirements.
Collaborate Cross‑Functionally
Partner with Operations, Engineering (External), Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercialization to improve reliability and OEE.
Decision‑Making Authority
Prioritize maintenance work across all facilities.
Approve maintenance schedules and contractor utilization within budget.
Recommend capital replacements and asset investments.
Stop equipment operation when safety, food safety, quality, or asset integrity is at risk.
Strategic Impact & Scope
Enterprise‑wide scope, spanning all Agrocrop manufacturing facilities. Not a single‑site role.
A trusted voice in enterprise capital planning, network investment decisions, and long‑range asset strategy.
A direct link between shop‑floor reliability performance and business‑level outcomes such as OEE, cost per unit, and customer commitments.
A growth path toward broader operations or reliability leadership as the maintenance function matures and the network expands.
