Responsibilities Perform upkeep and repairs on customer vehicles using diagnostic tools to identify issues.
Plan repair procedures using charts, manuals, and experience; test components and systems functionality.
Perform routine maintenance such as fluid level checks, tire rotations, and oil changes.
Repair and replace components such as brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and other related parts.
Conduct standard upkeep and general mechanical work on vehicles.
Maintain an organized and clean repair shop; uphold a professional demeanor.
Be willing to acquire additional certifications as necessary; learn through practical experience.
Qualifications Experience repairing cars and engines or auto mechanic education; ASE certifications is required.
Active driver’s license and the ability to conduct oneself professionally and provide helpful customer service.
Completed an associate’s degree program in auto repair and maintenance; high school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data for accurate record-keeping.
Ability to perform tasks in a rapid-paced environment; may lift up to 50 lb.
Knowledge of car air conditioning systems; diesel engine knowledge, heavy equipment experience, or willingness to undergo on-the-job training.
Lube technician experience or willingness to undergo on-the-job training.
Possess good hand-eye coordination.
