Teacher East River Colony School, West of Rumsey, Alberta.
Position: Full‑time teacher starting August 26, 2026. The successful candidate will deliver the Alberta curriculum to students in Kindergarten through Grade 9 in a multi‑grade classroom setting.
Responsibilities:
Deliver the Alberta curriculum to students in K‑9.
Engage students across a range of ages and abilities.
Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity, personal growth and a lifelong love of learning.
Apply strong instructional practices and effective teaching strategies.
Integrate technology into learning.
Communicate effectively with students, families and the school community.
Provide strong classroom management.
Collaborate with colleagues and build meaningful relationships with students, families and the school community.
Qualifications:




Training and experience in English as a Second Language (ESL).
Comfortable teaching multiple grades and subject areas.
Ability to differentiate instruction and foster student success.
Robust instructional practices and effective teaching strategies.
Experience teaching in a Hutterite Colony school setting would be considered an asset.
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
Current Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check satisfactory to PLRD.
