Reporting to the President & CEO, the Director of Project Management will oversee the execution of PowerON’s $500 million pipeline of major electrical projects. A key player on PowerON’s leadership team, the Director is responsible for a large team of project managers and project controls professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the development and execution of PowerON’s electrification portfolio throughout all project life cycle phases including front‑end planning, execution and project controls

Apply a customer focused approach to develop and execute charging solutions on time and on budget

Manage a team developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders

Coordinate and manage internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects

Plan resource availability and allocation

Ensure that all projects are delivered safely, on‑time, within budget and with quality

Develop detailed project management plans and reporting tools to track progress

Ensure compliance with commercial and project management framework

Implement project controls processes to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs in accordance with project management industry best practices

Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques





Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Work with the Business Development team supporting current business development initiatives

Ensure compliance with corporate safety programs and policies and communicate safety issues/concerns

Develop a climate which encourages the participation and involvement of all employees to continuously improve processes and systems

Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

University Degree in Engineering, Business or related field

MBA is an asset

PMP is an asset

10+ years of experience in construction and project management

Direct experience managing electrical projects involving solar, batteries, generation, substations or electric vehicle charging

Technical knowledge of EV charging, battery storage and other electrical equipment as well as energy management systems

Strong business acumen to develop and execute profitable projects and contribute to PowerON’s business strategy

Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and leadership skills to motivate your team
