We are currently searching for a DevOps Engineer - AWS Connect for our IT Consulting client to work on a long term project with a major transportation company.
Type: 6 month contract to start but this will be a long term project with projected extensions
Rate Range: $70 - $90/hr C2C
Location: onsite - client is based in Etobicoke, ON

Job Summary
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools necessary for our software development and deployment processes. You will work closely with our development team to ensure a seamless and efficient software delivery pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement automated deployment processes using AWS Connect
Monitor and maintain the infrastructure and tools used for software development and deployment
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the deployment process
Collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth integration of new features and updates
Implement and maintain security protocols and best practices for our infrastructure
Continuously improve and optimize the software delivery pipeline
Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps tools and technologies and make recommendations for implementation
Create and maintain technical documentation for the deployment process and infrastructure
Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours support and issue resolution
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
Robust understanding of AWS Connect and other AWS services
Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of networking and security protocols
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, ELK stack, or Splunk
Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
AWS certifications are a plus
This is a contractor position based in Etobicoke, ON. The contract duration is for 6 months with the possibility of extension. The candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week with a competitive hourly rate. The candidate must have a valid work permit for Canada.
