Remote Corporate/Commercial & Private M&A; Associate (4+Years)

Our client, a well-established and growing business law firm, is seeking a Corporate/Commercial & Private M&A; Associate to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys advising entrepreneurs, private companies, and investors on a broad range of business transactions.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on sophisticated corporate, commercial, and private M&A; matters while enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote practice within Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

- Advise clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial law matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, shareholder agreements, and other business-related contracts.
- Assist with mergers and acquisitions, including share and asset purchase transactions.
- Conduct legal due diligence and assist with transaction structuring.
- Prepare and negotiate transaction documents and closing deliverables.
- Advise clients on corporate governance, reorganizations, incorporations, amalgamations, and other corporate transactions.
- Manage files independently and provide practical, business-focused legal advice.




- Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

- Must be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- 4 plus years of experience practicing Corporate/Commercial Law and Private M&A.;
- Demonstrated experience handling business transactions, including share and asset purchase agreements.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple files and deadlines.
- Commitment to providing high-quality legal services and client-focused solutions.

Compensation

Compensation will be competitive and based on the successful candidate's level of experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.

Expected salary ranges:

- $120,000 – $160,000
