Senior Estimator – ICI / Commercial

An established employee-owned national general contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to support its growing preconstruction team in Vancouver or Victoria.

The Role

You will lead estimating and preconstruction activities across a diverse portfolio of ICI and commercial construction projects, managing projects from early budgeting through to tender submission.

Responsibilities include:

* Preparing accurate quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates.

* Leading competitive hard-bid and design-build tenders.

* Managing subcontractor pricing, scopes and bid evaluations.

* Producing conceptual budgets and preconstruction estimates.

* Identifying value engineering opportunities.

* Working closely with operations, consultants and clients throughout preconstruction.

* Mentoring and supporting junior estimating staff.

Project Experience

Experience across one or more of the following sectors is highly desirable:

* Commercial

* Institutional





* Healthcare / Hospitals

* Education

* Recreational Facilities

* Museums

* Retail

* Other ICI developments

Requirements

* 7+ years’ experience estimating commercial / ICI construction projects.

* Strong quantity take-off and cost planning experience.

* Experience with both hard-bid and design-build procurement.

* Excellent subcontractor and stakeholder management skills.

* Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

* Strong communication and commercial awareness.
