Job Description & Summary
PwC is seeking a Director of Tax Compliance and Advisory to lead the internal tax compliance and advisory function of the firm. This role combines technical tax advisory and compliance expertise with project management, with a focus on building and leading a high-quality tax function within the internal Finance function of PwC.

Direct and review PwC’s corporate, partnership and trust filings, while overseeing the partner compliance program responsible for preparing and reviewing partners’ corporate and personal tax filings to ensure full compliance with Canadian and foreign tax laws

Oversee global tax information reporting for PwC and its partners, manage responses to tax authority audits,inquiries and notices, and monitor legislative changes to ensure timely implementation by the firm

Lead PwC’s internal tax compliance function, including planning, execution, deliverytimelines and resource allocation for engagements across all PwC entities and partners

Support communications to partnersregarding their compliance obligations and responsibilities, monitor adherence to those obligations, and identify opportunities to improve compliance workflows and efficiency through technology-enabled tools

Serve as the firm’s senior internal tax advisor, providing strategic and practical tax guidance to Finance leadership, Business Enablement leaders and other key stakeholders, aligned with the firm’sobjectives and regulatory requirements

Build solid relationships within PwC’s Business Enablement function, contribute to strategic discussions, and influence decision-making through proactive tax insights and business-focused advice

Develop and lead the firm’s tax strategy, ensuring alignment with businessobjectives and partner needs while advising Finance and Business Enablement leadership on the tax implications of strategic initiatives, investments, restructurings and business changes

Identifyopportunities to enhance tax efficiency while maintaining compliance and managing risk; assess emerging tax legislation and regulatory developments, develop implementation strategies, and establish a robust tax governance framework including controls,



policies and risk management practices

Establish and lead the firm’s internal tax function, defining the vision, priorities, organizational design, operatingmodel and service delivery approach while supporting talent development, succession planning and a scalable, sustainable advisory and compliance function

Provide overall oversight and accountability for the quality, consistency andtimely delivery of all tax compliance and advisory activities, acting as the key point of contact for the partner compliance program and developing the capabilities and processes needed to strengthen delivery

What You'll Bring

CPA, CA designation is an asset

Extensive experience in public accounting, professionalservices or a similarly complex environment, with a strong foundation in personal and corporate tax compliance

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement tax strategy within a complex organization, including advising senior executives and influencing business decisions

Proven success leading transformational initiatives, process modernization and technology-enabled improvements that strengthen efficiency,governance and service delivery

Experience overseeing partnership taxation, partnerreporting and tax information reporting requirements, supported by deep knowledge of Canadian tax legislation and compliance frameworks

Strong project management, leadership, stakeholdermanagement and analytical skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic environment

This newly created role reflects our commitment to growth and delivering distinctive value for our clients and stakeholders. The salary range for this position is $162,000 - $212,000. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations.

In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
