and employee training and development programs are just a few ways we’re dedicated to your developmentMinimum Requirements:5+ years of relevant engineering experienceA bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineeringMust be a registered Profession Engineer with APEGAField experience and knowledge of Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, or Oil Sands operationsExperience employing ASME/API Standards including ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, and API 579Experience developing and improving reliability programs, quality programs, equipment strategies, and degradation mode mitigationKnowledge and experience in use of mechanical design standards, specifications, and codesAble to provide clear work direction through verbal and written scopesDon’t have all the qualifications listed? We acknowledge the value of transferable skills.Key Accountabilities:Interface daily with operations, maintenance, planning, and other engineering disciplines on equipment performance issuesDevelop and optimize detailed mechanical equipment inspection and repair plans for field executionMonitor and troubleshoot mechanical equipment health including conveyors, sizers, rotary wet screens, pumps, tanks/vessels, and piping systemsConduct and support root cause analysis investigations of mechanical equipment issues or failuresLead mechanical engineering management of change (MOC) initiatives focused on equipment availability and cost improvementsSupport in rationalizing future spend activities, preparations for outages and shutdowns, and input into planning processesLocation and other key detailsYou will work out of our camp-based Fort Hills mining site, located in Alberta’s Athabasca region, 90 kilometres north of Fort McMurray, AlbertaThe shift schedule is a seven (7) days on / seven (7) days off rotationOur engineering roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of workThink we are a fit?
