Lead significant infrastructure change as the Chief Project Officer for the City of Winnipeg. Oversee the monumental $3 billion North End Water Pollution Control Centre Upgrade Program.
The Chief Project Officer role is a senior executive position reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer. Responsible for guiding the entire program lifecycle, from planning to operational readiness, this role requires strategic oversight and governance. You will ensure successful project delivery that aligns with regulatory requirements and stakeholder needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct program planning, design, procurement, and construction
• Ensure project adherence to budget, scope, and timeline
• Collaborate with government, contractors, and stakeholders
• Implement disciplined risk management and oversight processes
• Build robust governance and stakeholder relationships
Requirements:
• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 10-15 years of leadership in large-scale capital projects
• Experience managing projects over $500 million
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment is an asset
• Proven strategic judgment and ability to lead teams
