Dawson Construction is looking for a Screed Operator who can work collaboratively with the construction team to maintain accurate alignment, grade, and slope during the screeding process.

In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Construction, working in a temporary, full-time position of Screed Operator , reporting to the Superintendent, Paving . Your base location will be Kamloops, B.C. and will require some travel throughout our great province.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Always prioritize safety of self and others
Knowledge of road construction, specifically paving work
Ability to drive/ operate complex machinery
Self-motivated, strong analytical skills and detail-oriented
Knowledge of paving equipment and the paving process

WHAT YOU BRING
2-3 seasons experience as a screed operator on municipal & industrial/commercial paving projects
Working knowledge of Asphalt and related materials
Working knowledge of methods, techniques and equipment used in Asphalt




Valid BC Driver’s License
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. independently; more than 50lbs. with assistance
Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time
