SENIOR TECHNICAL COORDINATOR
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Technical Coordinator leads and coordinates the technical workstream within assigned projects for the Digital Health Services & Support Hub, accountable for the planning, design, execution, and transition of technology solutions into operations. As a member of a project, the Senior Technical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating IT related requirements such as interfacing and scheduling tasks as assigned to the various members of the Information Technology and Application teams. Leading the technical workstream, the Senior Technical Coordinator is expected to follow established regional project management guidelines and utilize internal tools. The Senior Technical Coordinator is expected to be technical in nature, with working knowledge of many of our core infrastructure components within our organization (Citrix, Networks, Windows based servers, UNIX/Linux servers, Enterprise Storage Solutions, M365, Cloud Hyperscalers, VOIP, VMware, Enterprise Backup Systems, SQL Database, cyber security, end-user computing devices, etc.). The Senior Technical Coordinator is also knowledgeable on project management philosophy and documentation requirements, ensure time tracking is completed, weekly status updates occur, attend meetings, interface with customers, escape problems, initiate change requests, etc. This role combines both a strategic component (planning, standards, business cases) and tactical component (procurement, build, test, deploy), on a variety of initiatives ranging from enterprise projects, minor project work and daily support activities. The Senior Technical Coordinator acts as Subject Matter Expert on defined core technologies enabling the development and deployment of standardized regional solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Leads the investigation and recommendation of technology proposals (including development of business cases, RFP’s) for assigned areas of responsibility (ex, Application Delivery, Productivity Tools,



Physical Infrastructure, Security, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity).

Leads the delivery ofassignedtechnical workstreams,includingplanning, resourcecoordination, execution, and risk management, inalignmentwith regional project management methodologies.

Works as part of a regional Change Advisory Board (CAB) to review and approve all technical change requestsin accordance withregional policies and procedures

Provides technical escalation support during project delivery and stabilization phases.

Designs and configures core technologies as part of project delivery initiatives.

Own the transition of technical solutions into operations, ensuring readiness through validated runbooks, RASCI, SOPs, and work instructions, with clear ownership and support model defined.Mentors supporting staff and provides training and work activityreviewas necessary.

Collaborate acrossTransFormportfolios to support project delivery and solution implementation, including scheduled and unscheduled after-hours work associated withkeymilestones, deployments, and go-live events.

Responsible for making technical investment recommendations for assigned areas of responsibility

Shared responsibility for technology change control as a member of CAB

Responsible for work assignments prioritization, scheduling, and issues management for assigned areas of responsibility including task oversite for technical analyst staff

Responsible for delivery of assigned project roles (ex, Work-Stream Leader)

Responsible for providing guidance to other team members to support successful project deliverables

MUST- HAVES:

Minimum three (3) year University Degree or College diploma in Information Technology

Six to ten (6-10) years’ experiencedelivering and supporting enterprise technology solutionsin a complex IT environment

Experience in leading orparticipatingin large-scale technology implementation projects

Experience in providing wide scale technology support services





Experienceestablishingand maintaining effective relationships with clients,partners, and team members

Advanced knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, networking, servers, virtualization, storage, databases, and end-user computing.

Knowledge of project management methodologies, IT service management, change management, and operational support practices.

Knowledge of business case development, procurement processes (including RFPs), technology governance, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Minimal exposure to disagreeable conditions typical of an office position: exposed to stress and pressure associated with multiple priorities and deadlines

Must be able to travel within Ontario, when required

Must be able to work evenings and weekends, when required
