The PREP Society | Calgary, Alberta
$65.00 - $75.00 per hour | Flexible Caseload | Afternoon and After-School Hours
The PREP Society is looking for a Pediatric Physiotherapist to provide individualized physical therapy services to school‑aged children and their families through Alberta’s Family Support for Children with Disabilities program.

This is a flexible independent contractor opportunity, primarily offering late‑afternoon and after‑school appointments. PREP provides families, approved service hours, scheduling support, contract administration, billing, and access to clinical space when available.

You get to focus on the children and families. We handle much of the administrative heavy lifting.

About The PREP Society
The PREP Society is a Calgary-based nonprofit organization supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Through therapy, education, family support, and inclusive programming, PREP helps children and young adults build skills, confidence, and meaningful connections within their communities. Our approach is collaborative, practical, and family‑centred.

The Prospect
As a Pediatric Physio Therapist, you will provide assessment, intervention, family coaching, and practical strategies that support each child’s functional goals.

Sessions are generally two hours and may take place in the family’s home, in the community, or at PREP when space is available.

You will work collaboratively with families, PREP’s multidisciplinary team, and Learning Support Facilitators who provide in‑home coaching between therapy sessions.

Complete client notes with families during the scheduled session

Participate in occasional virtual multidisciplinary meetings with families and team members

Schedule
Hours are flexible and will depend on family needs and approved FSCD service hours.

Most appointments will take place during:

Late afternoons

After‑school hours

Occasional early evenings

There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours.

Occasional multidisciplinary meetings are held virtually on Thursday mornings. These meetings are scheduled in advance and are paid as direct service time.

Contract Details
The contracted rate applies to direct service time. PREP will also compensate approved preparation time, report writing, and scheduled multidisciplinary meetings. Travel time and mileage are not paid or reimbursed.

Cancellation provisions include:

Sessions cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice are not billable

Late cancellations may be billed for one hour

No‑show appointments may be billed in full
