Jardeg is currently recruiting for a Carpenter Journeyperson to join theSpruce Grove Composite High Schoolproject teamin Spruce Grove, AB!
The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday.The shift may include extended hours and weekends, as required by the site.
Responsibilities:
Build forms for concrete
Cut, shape, and join
Look for and fix deficiencies
Building of hoarding and other temporary structures
Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
Study blueprints for work planning
Construct and form chutes for pouring concrete
Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
Act as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
General site upkeep
Requirements: Preference will be given to a candidate that has a Carpenter Journeyperson Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority




Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS
Buildings experience is required
Fall Protection is an asset Experience with working at heights near leading edges is a solid asset
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
Must have reliable transportation to get to work
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada COME AND GET YOUR BOOTS DIRTY!
