Parts Full Time Calgary, AB $50,000 - $70,000 CAD per year
Parts Expertise. Problem Solving. Team Impact.
Some people see parts.
Others enjoy figuring things out.
They like solving problems, learning new things, staying organized, and helping a team succeed. They take pride in finding solutions and keeping things moving.
If that sounds like you, keep reading.
Foothills Group is looking for a Heavy Duty Parts Technician to join our growing team in Calgary.
This isn't a role where you simply answer phones and process orders. You'll play a critical role in supporting technicians, service advisors, and customers by ensuring the right parts are available when they're needed. As an authorized XCMG Equipment dealer, you'll also support our equipment division while helping both internal and external customers find the parts and solutions they need.
Every repair depends on the right parts. Every successful job starts with someone who knows how to find solutions.
Whether you're an experienced Parts Technician or someone with strong mechanical aptitude, a desire to learn, and the ability to pick things up quickly, we want to hear from you.
If you take pride in being organized, resourceful, and dependable, you'll fit in well here.
Who We Are
Foothills Group is one of Western Canada's fastest-growing repair companies with locations in Calgary, Lethbridge, and mine support operations in Sparwood, BC.
In addition to our repair operations, we are an authorized XCMG Equipment dealer, supporting customers with equipment sales, parts, and service solutions throughout the region.
We've built our reputation by doing things the right way, standing behind our work, and investing heavily in our people.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Heavy Duty Parts Technician,
you'll be responsible for:
Sourcing and ordering parts for heavy equipment, commercial trucks, trailers and fleet vehicles
Working closely with technicians, service advisors, and customers to identify parts requirements, source solutions, and provide accurate quotes
Supporting parts sales growth by building strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities to provide solutions
Receiving, organizing, restocking, and distributing parts efficiently
Managing inventory levels, cycle counts, and stock accuracy
Processing purchase orders, returns, warranties, and vendor credits
Monitoring backorders and communicating updates proactively
Operating forklifts and moving inventory safely
Maintaining and updating inventory records to ensure accuracy
Building strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
Helping ensure repairs stay on schedule by keeping parts flowing through the shop
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
Takes ownership of their work
Is highly organized and detail-oriented
Thrives in a fast-paced environment
Communicates professionally with customers, vendors, and teammates
Enjoys solving problems and finding solutions
Works well under pressure and can manage changing priorities
Has a strong desire to learn and improve
Holds a valid driver’s license
Takes pride in helping the entire operation succeed
Experience in parts is valuable, but it is not required.
What matters most is your attitude, work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to pick things up quickly.
If you're looking for an opportunity to build valuable skills and grow within a company that invests in its people, this could be the role for you.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in parts,
inventory, warehousing, customer service, or a related field
Heavy-duty, automotive, agricultural, or equipment industry experience
Interest in how equipment, systems and components work together
Experience with inventory management systems
Parts Technician Ticket or actively pursuing the designation
Forklift certification considered an asset
We can teach the technical side.
What we can't teach is work ethic, accountability, and a genuine desire to learn.
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00AM - 6:00PM
Location: Calgary Southeast, conveniently located near Barlow Trail South
What You Get
We offer:
Competitive pay
Full benefits package
Paid vacation

Company lunches twice weekly
Industry-leading training
A company that promotes from within
Full-time, year-round employment
Company events and team activities
A team that works hard, supports each other, and takes pride in what we accomplish together
Why People Build Their Careers Here
That's why we've built an environment where people can:
Continue growing professionally
Learn from experienced technicians, advisors and industry professionals
Take ownership of meaningful work
Build long-term careers with room to advance
Gain experience supporting one of Alberta's authorized XCMG equipment dealerships
We're not interested in being just another repair company.
We're building a company where hardworking people can grow professionally, support their families, and take pride in what they accomplish together.
This Role Isn't for Everyone
The pace is fast.
Technicians are waiting on parts.
Customers are looking for answers.
Priorities change throughout the day.
Everyone relies on you to stay organized, communicate clearly, and find solutions when challenges arise.
If you're looking for a position where every day looks the same, this isn't the right fit.
But if you enjoy being the person people rely on, solving problems under pressure, and helping a team succeed, you'll fit in well here.
