We are currently recruiting for Legal Assistants with 6+ years of experience to join our talented team. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday (8.30am to 4.30pm). Employment and Labour experience is preferred however, r recent commercial litigation is a suitable substitute.
Responsibilities:
Drafting legal documents,
pleadings and correspondence
Management of files from opening to closing including filing, file organization, tracking and filing email correspondence
Ability to diarize dates independently with respect to client files and practice management, maintenance of a lawyer's calendar and a reliable bring forward (BF) system
Preparation of monthly accounts and expense reports
Coordination of lawyer's administrative tasks and marketing initiatives
Qualifications:
Solid understanding of legal procedures and documentation
Recent commercial litigation experience
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Advanced knowledge of working with MS Teams and One Drive
Advanced knowledge of a document management program
Excellent composition, grammar, spelling, and editing skills
Communicates professionally with clients, co-workers and other parties
Ability to balance and prioritize a substantial workload and handle routine tasks with little supervision
L.A. Certificate or equivalent work experience
