As part of that mission, we’re expanding how we understand and measure developer experience — going beyond dashboards to uncover deeper behavioral insights that guide product and business strategy.We’re looking for a Behavioral Data Scientist to help us make sense of how developers engage with our platform and what drives retention, activation, and churn. In this role, you’ll lead segmentation efforts, build predictive models, and bring together multiple data sources — including surveys, product usage, and clickstream data — to shape how we measure and improve experience quality.You’ll collaborate closely with researchers, PMs, designers, engineers, and marketers to ensure the insights you uncover are actionable and embedded in decision-making. This is a staff-level role with real ownership and visibility — ideal for someone who’s excited to connect the dots between data, behavior, and business impact.Developer Experience Metrics & StrategyDefine and refine metrics that reflect developer experience and satisfactionAnalyze behavioral patterns across funnels, segments, and user touchpoints to identify opportunities for improvementWork with research and design partners to connect experience quality to business outcomesBehavioral Analytics & Data IntegrationBring together diverse data sources — including NPS, surveys, sentiment, usage, funnel,



and churn — to identify behavioral signalsTranslate insights into clear recommendations for product, growth, and marketing teamsHelp teams make smarter decisions by revealing the “why” behind the numbersSegmentation & Predictive ModelingLead clustering and segmentation efforts to support targeted product and marketing strategiesBuild and evaluate predictive models that surface risk and opportunity (e.G., churn, activation drivers, engagement)Share learnings in clear, actionable ways with technical and non-technical audiencesExperimentation & Model EvaluationCollaborate with data science, product, and research partners to guide experimentation and evaluate LLM-powered featuresBring a behavioral lens to model development, interpretation, and iterationCross-Functional InfluencePartner with data engineering, PMs, design, marketing, and research teams to align insights with business needsAdvocate for evidence-based decision-making across the orgTake initiative in solving ambiguous problems and identifying what data is needed — even when it’s not readily availableRequired Experience & Skills6+ years of experience in behavioral science research and data scienceStrong analytical skills, including experience with predictive modeling, segmentation, and experimentationFluent in SQL and Python, and comfortable working with large, messy datasetsDeep understanding of user behavior and motivation, especially in digital product environmentsSkilled at balancing methodological rigor with business pragmatism — you know how to deliver signal when it mattersThrive in ambiguous,



fast-moving environments and can operate with autonomy and problem-solving mindsetComfortable influencing cross-functional teams and connecting analysis to actionStrong experience collaborating with UX researchers, designers, product managers, data scientists, and marketersPreferred ExperienceExperience building and evaluating LLM-powered features or agent interactionsFamiliarity with product analytics tools like Heap, Tableau, Snowflake and survey tools like Qualtrics and GoodQuestionExperience in developer platforms, SaaS, or identity/security-related productsPrior work alongside or embedded in UX Research teamsSalary & BenefitsBelow is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience.
