Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Cloud Data Administrator to join the Data Operations team of a large maritime company. This role is responsible for the administration, reliability, and governance of a contemporary Azure‑based data platform, with a strong focus on Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog. The ideal candidate brings deep hands‑on experience in cloud data engineering, platform operations, and secure data governance within enterprise environments.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years cloud data engineering experience

Databricks expertise- PySpark/Spark SQL, job scheduling, Delta Lake, cluster management

Azure Data Factory experience- pipelines, linked services, parameterization, triggering Databricks

Cloud data platform administration- RBAC, Key Vault, managed identities, Unity Catalog

Pipeline monitoring & troubleshooting - job failures, performance tuning, operational support

SQL & Python proficiency - semi‑structured data, API ingestion, error handling

Data engineering fundamentals - ETL/ELT, data modeling, warehousing concepts

DevOps for data workflows - Git/GitHub, CI/CD (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions), Terraform (nice to have)

Strong communication & stakeholder collaboration Unity Catalog governance

Azure APIM experience

Azure certifications

Dimensional modeling knowledge
