Responsibilities & Qualifications Job Description and Responsibilities:
Actively monitors culinary operations, cleanliness & food hygiene standards
Create, cost, and standardize recipes across all menus and service formats
Plan and execute multiple simultaneous events — weddings, corporate conferences, private functions, and daily restaurant covers
Develop detailed production timelines and kitchen flow plans for high-volume service
Develop seasonal banquet packages and à la carte restaurant menus
Control food costs, minimize waste, and manage inventory with rigorous discipline
Plan, organize, and oversee the execution of banquets, catered functions, special events and resort dining room including logistics and guest collaboration
Promptly and efficiently fill orders according to bill flow.
Prepare and cook complete meals or specialty foods, such as pastries, sauces, soups, salads, vegetables and meat, poultry and fish dishes, and create decorative food displays for special events such as banquets




Run various pieces of kitchen equipment and know the cooking requirements of each dish.
Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
Create current recipes
Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
Ensure safe food handling procedures are followed 100% of the time.
Prepare items to meet guest requests and prepare support items as required.
Proactively refill the line with ingredients / condiments / supplies.
Follow a clean as you go mantra to ensure that the kitchen area is always clean and orderly including but not limited to managing the dish pit as needed.
Work each shift with a safety mindset. Be proactive in regard to front of the house and back of the house safety (food safety, potential hazards for employees or guests).
Dive into various resort tasks to keep the magic alive, from organizing events to delighting guests by looking after their needs to simply enjoying a moment by the lake with a cold beverage.
Skills Requirements:
8-10 years of cooking experience including at least one year as a sous chef
Experience working in a resort environment with preference to high volume banquet kitchens
A deep-seated passion for hospitality, as vast as the waters of Lac Le Jeune.
The ability to wear many hats without missing a beat — you’re the ultimate multitasking virtuoso!
Exceptional communication skills, capable of turning every interaction into a delightful experience.
You are a genuine and vibrant team player.
You pride yourself on your ability to learn new skills, your ability to work efficiently and effectively, your reliability and your ability to keep your cool even during the busiest shifts.
You can safely and repetitively lift items weighted similar to a bag of potatoes.
You can stand for long periods of time.

Education Requirements:
Culinary School or Similar educational background
80000 per annum
